SUSTAINABILITY

Environmental Sustainability at ICIM 2023
We’re committed to running an event that has sustainability at its heart. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, we believe it’s important to offer opportunities for all of you to get together, network and share the fantastic work that is going on across our continent. We’re doing everything we can to mitigate the environmental impact of hosting an in person event. Your collaboration is, therefore, essential to achieve these goals.

Travelling
We encourage all delegates to offset carbon emissions associated with their travel to the conference. We will share some reputable carbon offset programs with delegates in the coming weeks. When in Rome we encourage delegates to prioritize active travel in Rome by choosing to walk or cycle or to use public transportation.

Plastic usage
We won’t be using any single-use plastics during ICIM2023.

We work with our caterers to ensure that most of the ingredients used for lunches and refreshments are locally sourced and seasonal. All cups, plates, and cutlery will either be eco-friendly. We encourage all delegates to bring along reusable water bottles and cups.

Accommodation
The Congress Hotel in Rome has also been selected for their eco-friendly policy

Paper
We’re aiming to reduce the use of paper and encourage all delegates to minimise the quantity of printed materials associated with the Congress by taking notes on their phones, laptops or tablets.

The conference program will only be available in digital form.

The Congress for a greener planet!
The 2nd World Congress Integrative Medicine and Health aims to contribute to a greener and fairer planet by joining the Project “Plant trees”. Details will follow.
